I have to get creative to get pictures of my redhead! He just doesn't like to have his picture taken too often, so I have to take any chance I can get. He and I went outside when he got home from school and walked around the back yard. We had some good laughs and I got some good pictures. He has such a great sense of humor and he amazes me at how creative, artistic and musically talented he is. His head is always full of big ideas and he is constantly thinking up something! He really is such a wonderful person with a great big heart and I am very proud of him. He is growing up way too fast though. He keeps talking about wanting to save up money to buy a car for crying out loud! I don't even want to think about those days!

Let it snow!

We got a little bit more snow today! I wish we would actually get more of an accumulation though so the kids could have more fun playing in it and Lane and Jake could get out and snowboard. Anyways, it was still pretty and Rylan enjoyed watching it come down.

Emery's new hair-do!

Emery's hair was getting pretty long again and was getting difficult to manage. She had chlorine damage from many days spent in the pool this summer and it was getting fairly dried out and snarly. She told me that she wanted it cut and I let her decide how short. She LOVES her new haircut and so do I! Now brushing her hair isn't such torture for both of us!

Happy 9th Birthday, Emery!!

Though it hardly seems possible, Emery turned 9 years old today! We let her open her gift from us tonight because, well, it is her birthday today and she could hardly wait any longer! We had a little celebration with a pizza and chocolate cake and I put balloons in her room for her to find when she got home from school. She is having a swimming party with friends from school this Sunday at a local hotel and she is sooooo excited for that!
